Cleaning the remote control is a simple task, but it requires care.

Here is a step-by-step guide:

To open the case, use a plastic card or a special tool and carefully slide it along the seam between the front and back panels. The two halves will separate, revealing the circuit board and buttons. The rubber buttons are usually not attached and can be easily removed.

1:40 ► 2. Wash the remote control with soap and water. The rubber buttons should be washed with soap and water or dishwashing liquid — do not use alcohol! Use a toothbrush to clean hard-to-reach areas. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water to remove any soap residue. Then dry them with paper towels and let them dry overnight.

⚠ Do not use alcohol on rubber buttons!

5:40 ► 3. Reassembling the remote control. Once all the components are completely dry, reassemble the remote control. Make sure there is no moisture or dirt left, then insert the buttons and connect the housing halves. Finally, insert the batteries and your remote is ready to use again!
